The Hubertus Prototype

$0.00
sold out

The Hubertus Prototype Bag

This bag was the prototype and is not for sale. This bag walked so the other bags can run LOL.

Made from a little Hubertus saddle this bag helped me work out what was and was not possible utilizing saddles to make bags, including what style saddles are best suited and what flaws can and can not be overlooked.

I utilized the original stitch holes across the top of the skirt piece and it’s safe to say stitching hidden out of sight on a Hubertus saddle is very different to my usual stitching, so I learnt very quickly not to use too many of the original stitch holes when making these bags!!

This one is made in my favorite combination - brass and neutral thread.

Components;

Bag Body - top saddle flaps

Bag flap - saddle skirt

Bag side panels - saddle seat

Bag strap - a stirrup leather
